Project Baby Bea Journal -WEEK 1

Check here for updates everyday!

This is where I’ll give my updates and progress reports on the first week.

I’ll start a new post for each week.

I’ll come back here daily putting the newest entry at the top.

When you scroll down you’ll be going backwards. I’m doing it this way to eliminate the need to scroll way down the page to find what’s new.

8/4/17 DAY 6 – CD 13 –

So far this morning I have done my massage – extremely painful around my belly button on my left. I tried to work on this and a couple other areas this morning, but after an hour it was not completely gone. Better but still there. I may do massage again tonight.

Also I finally worked up to doing a whole set from my fertility yoga book. It’s 29 moves. I’m beginning to understand why yoga has become so popular.2017-08-04 10.30.28.jpg

8/3/17 DAY 5 – CD 12 –

I got everything in except yoga, massage and I couldn’tmanage to get in a 4th serving of greens. The greens are turning out to be the greatest struggle.

I’m on the hunt for creative ways to get in our greens other than a smoothie.

In fact I’m done trying to get our greens in via smoothie. It’s just not working.

7/31/17 DAY 2 – CD 10 –

Not the best day. I didn’t get in my greens, salty water, yoga or massage.

Oh. And I had a kitkat. 😦

But I feel really good, enev though my feet are really slowing me down. Mortons Neuroma is just damaged nerves in the ball of the foot. People with flat feet are apparently more susceptible to it. I shouldn’t go barefoot until my feet are heeled up, so I got these cheapy memory foam flip flops.

20170731_193623.jpg

they’re already helping!

I got to do some food prep today! 2 gallons of chicken stock.

IMG_20170731_165521.jpg

We had mushroom meatballs, mashed potatoes and rosated cauliflower steaks for dinner. It was pretty good.

Also, I’ve ordered another supplement and another oil to support Byrons hormones.

Horny Goat Weed (yes it’s a real thing lol) Β and Idaho Blue Spruce.

7/30/17 DAY 1 – Cycle day 9 –

Today is day 1 of 60.

We spent the night at my mil Linda’s and she cooked a yummy breakfast. It was not on plan but we’ll live. We did get in a bad habit of eating off our healthy diet whenever we would visit my in laws. Even though we ate off plan for breakfast, I did good and brought on plan snacks for last night.

We also stayed for lunch, which was also not totally on plan. maybe day one should’ve been tomorrow. lol.

I got home and got in my green smoothie, all my supplements, abdominal massage and my first session of yoga.

Favorite pose so far – cat-cow-circles.

7/29/17 sorry I missed yesterday.

Tomorrow will be the real Day 1 of this 60 day experiment.

I’ve been reading and I think the issue with my feet may be Morton’s Neuroma. If you have experience with this, any advice would be appreciated.

Yesterday -I got everything(supplements, tea, green smoothie, 2 servings of greens, plenty of protien, walking-I worked etc).

Today- got everything in except yoga.

I’ve noticed that my lower back pain has completely gone away. Β The pain was from my kidney area. I’ve been including fresh parsley in my green smoothies. Parsley is very good for the kidneys and I’ve had success beating a kidney infection last year with lots of fresh parlsey.

Another thing. I’ve been constipated the last couple days, which is totally not normal for me (unless I’m pregnant- which I am not). I know that’s tmi, but I want to share the good the bad and the ugly of this so you’ll know what you’re getting into if you try this out.

Except for the constipation and my feet issue, I’m feeling overall much better! Really, my energy is going up, my head is clear, seasonal allergy symptoms are decreasing, aches and pains are decreasing, my mood is MUCH better. All this and I have even officially started this project yet.

I’d say this kinda of this is worth doing for everyone, not just women hoping to have a baby.

7/27/17 Another before day one:

Up this morning at 3am to make my husbands lunch/breakfast. I looked around at my dirty house, and thought about how behind I am in prep cooking and so many other things and how tired I am and how bad me feet still hurt. I wanted to give up. So I went back to bed. I feel better now. Though the dryer did just stop working again…….

The issue with my feet. The Thursday and Friday before Independence day, we had a garage sale. I spent many hours crouching and squatting down to clean toys. Many hours and sometimes in direct blazing sun. I did get dehydrated. That night I soaked used a Lavender Bath Bomb from Young Living Β (smells so wonderful btw). My feet were fine the next morning. But the morning after that I could not put them on the floor! I had to ask my husband to rub them for me just so I could get out of bed! Over a month later and they are still not painfree. Many days have brought me to tears! I’m hoping that this health project will do some good for my feet too.

》》》》》》》

Yay! I remembered all my supplements and all my drinks(red raspberry leaf and nettle tea, green smoothie and salty water)!

I did decide today that I can’t handle the texture of the green smoothies. They are going to have to be normal frozen green smoothies. I know I said I would avoid cold things, as per traditional Chinese medicine, but the green smoothie is going to have to be the exception. It’s either frozen green smoot hie or no green smoothie. I think it’s more important to get the nutrients than worry about the temp. I’ll still do my best to avoid raw foods and cold foods though.

Another before day 1:

I’m still figuring out which yoga book, and which Mayan abdominal massage I’m going to use.

Still trying to figure out these green smoothies. So far they’re almost tolerable. Lol. I got some apples and cucumber to hopefully lighten and sweeten them a bit.

Tonight we used my last freezer meal made weeks ago. Asian chicken with rice.

I attempted to make some healthy peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. They were……not good.2017-07-26 21.37.34.jpg

I’m actually kinda sick today with ragweed allergies but diffusing Lemon/Lavender/Peppermint is making my sinuses happy.

Also got 5 huge packages of greens steamed and put in the freezer.2017-07-26 21.36.56.jpg

Before day 1:

I’m calling it Operation Baby Bea because-

1. It needs a name. I can’t keep calling it the 60 day fertility/healthy reboot diet regimen thing.

2. My daughter and I are hoping the next baby is a girl. Β If it is we’ll name her Beatrice and call her Bea for short. ( Β I love old fashioned names and the Andy Griffith show. Lol plus if her name is Bea her room can be bumble bee themed!)

Green smoothies-

So far I’ve made 3 green smoothies with all my new healthy goodies.

1 was good, 1 was edible, 1 had to be thrown out.

Apparently when you haven’t eaten a banana in 6 months, it tastes a lot saltier than you remember! Salty smoothie could not be saved.

This smoothie thing is a work in progress still. Trying to make them non frozen is a challenge.

》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》

Still working on this checklist-

β–‘ Cast iron cookware to replace non-stick pans
β–‘ Replace Byron’s deodorant and cologne with something non-toxic
β–‘ Find out how to do self Mayan/fertility belly massage
β–‘ 20 minutes of yoga every morning
β–‘ Walk 30 min daily
β–‘ No phone or t.v. after 8:30 pm
β–‘ Find 2 recipes that will make walnuts and pumpkin seeds more apealing for Byron

Made Blistered Red Pepper Soup for dinner & sprouted organic garlic toast- turned out yummy. It was actually pretty easy too.

Roasted-red-pepper-sun-dried-tomato-soup-recipe-3

I got this done while the peppers were steaming.

Storing my fresh herbs in mason jars with produce baggies over the top. Keeps them fresh longer.

》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》

Kinda over did it today. Could of used a nap just about any time.

Did not get in my whole gallon of salty water.

It was still a pretty good day.
